Association Mit-Mensch
On 12 October 1998 the club was founded Mit-Mensch e.V.. The goal is to people with disabilities and to promote old and needy people and to care. Concern is to create leisure, exercise and tourism opportunities for people with disabilities. Such projects are required to fill ideas and desires to life.
Travel and holidays for people with disabilities
Into the first projects of the association was to create a barrier-free Hotels - Hotel Mit-Mensch Berlin Karlshorst. In order to take the touristic business needs of people with disabilities and this bill in good quality, accessible and affordable, leading to the construction of the hotel with-man. A quiet residential district, just 20 minutes from the city center. In Berlin as a tourist metropolis of wheelchair accessible hotels are still scarce and only found in the upper price category. 15.02.01 Since the hotel is now ready to receive guests with and without disabilities.
Jobs for people with disabilities
This unique hotel is 5 years operated by people with disabilities, family and successfully. The utilization of the 27 beds by individuals, families and groups has increased steadily. In the immediate vicinity (on the opposite page) 2007/2008, a new complex was constructed with two buildings in which a further 36 beds, a restaurant with 60 seats, meeting rooms and eight two-bedroom apartments in the assisted living will be available.
Wheelchair dance group "Rock & Wheels"
The wheelchair dance group "Rock & Wheels" is since May 2000 as an integrated project for wheelchair users and pedestrians. Hardly any other sport of wheelchair users and pedestrians can be operated equally inclusive as wheelchair dance. The course is led by a trained dancers and choreographed dance.
